.....the magic of pregnancy keeps me in awe, even almost half way into my third go around.....we had our 45 minute anatomy scan yesterday and both Stefan and I just stared at the screen, laughing at this little 6 ounce being that is already formed so perfectly and beautifully.....
....and with as much flipping and twisting and somersaulting, we were also lucky to get a definitive hi from our little gymnast.....and we will all have to wait with great anticipation on the sex of the baby.....when the technician asked if we wanted to know the gender, we resisted against the temptation of easy planning and gave a simultaneous, No thanks......we like to be surprised.....and so we wait.....
.....and sooner than later, Stefan and our two girls will be able to feel the thumping and kicking from this little mover and shaker.....I have never had such an active baby......Elsie and Callie were both polite little swooshers.....brushing me from the inside ever so gently, just to let me know they were swimming around and enjoying their dark, quiet and nestled home......not this one.....this one is already thumping its way around and it's not even crowded in its nest yet.....I am envisioning many nights of laughs around a vibrating, big roller coaster of a belly......I can already imagine how entertaining it will be for Elsie and Callie.....
.....For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
.....we are blessed and grateful......

.....and I am also grateful that New Jersey was so cold that we only made it to a few houses on Halloween.....because I have been like a thief in the night when it comes to raiding the candy filled pumpkins the girls used to trick or treat......I forgot the pure delicacy of an Almond Joy or the creamy way a 3 Muskateers melts in your mouth.....I might have to dash off right now and stash another bite while the girls are resting.....
.......these girls practiced their Trick or Treat while they waited for Ella's brother and sister to finish putting on their costumes......
.....and I thought my two were the cutest little cowgirl darlings I have ever seen.....
.....and when we finally made it outside, they were ready for their buddies and their Daddy, who was the official wagon puller.....
.....and off they went.....
......and as they pulled away, my camera died.....so you just have to take my word for it that these girls loved trick or treating......and with each pitstop and new handful of treats, they too, insisted on having a snack in the wagon in between houses.....it was the most festive, sugar filled, laughter induced Halloween I have had in a while....and as I sign off, I am popping M&Ms as I type....lucky for me, the candy is almost gone.....
.....so until next year, when we have three littles all dressed and ready to roll, I will be dreaming of my almond joys....
.....savoring every minute.....
