.....Elsie and the bear.....

.....I'm going into week two without my camera....the shutter broke and it has been torture to have events pass without having the ability to document them through pictures.....Elsie had a tea party with her good friend Ella for Ella's third birthday......no camera.....Callie and Elsie had their first sleep over with our friend, William, whose Mom and Dad attended a wedding in Costa Rica.....no camera.....we celebrated fall on Sunday afternoon with a few friends in CT, attending a dinner party with 8 other toddlers in a gorgeous home nestled in the woods......no camera.....however, Elsie's nursery school teacher, Miss Lauren did lend us the school camera so that I could document Elsie spending some time with the class bear, so I did snap away.....

......each of the 12 children in her class get to spend some time with the bear, which will be a hot ticket item at the school auction later this spring.....the parents document the events the bear spent with their child and the photos are added to the class book, which will accompany the winning family who also get to take home the bear for good.....

......and because I have been missing my beloved ones smiling their sweet faces on this little blog, well, this post is just going to have to be about our time with the class bear.....

......and quite honestly, I don't have any other pictures other than the ones documenting Elsie's teaching, instructing, directing and snuggling with the bear.....she mostly preferred the bear to sit down below her, as she perched herself on a chair so she could play teacher and the bear could be her obedient student......oh, the imagination is in full swing as this near three year old shows us more and more of the beauty of her spirited personality.....

.....and because Callie is just 15 months behind, if she is not sharing the same experience as her sister, we are not a happy household.....we have quickly learned over the last few months that if we can't have two of most things, we don't have them at all.....so Callie grabbed one of her bears so she too could show us that she is capable of taking care of a bear as well.....and she also did beautifully.....

......and luckily, the call came that my camera is ready for pick up.....so I am one inspired Momma ready to make up for the photos I couldn't take this past week......

......ready to savor all the minutes I missed.....
