.....the princess and her party....

.....it was better than she expected.....it was a giddy, joyous occasion that celebrated the sweet girl that she is.....and she was in her element.....

.....she anxiously awaited her guests.....and as all of her friends arrived dressed in their princess perfection or super hero capes, they were treated to nail painting, glittery make up or a mask and lightning bolt that set the tone for an enchanted evening with royalty or super natural toddlers......

.....and we socialized and crafted for a bit....the littles decorating glittery stars or princess crowns.....all chatting freely of glue being sticky or what color sequins they wanted for their project.....

......all the while, the temptation of creamy cupcakes was luring.....

.....especially for my girl who loves a sweet cupttttcake......

.....she's getting creative and clever in her almost 2 years......

......the ambiance was set for an enchanted evening.....

.....a time to spend with family....

......a time for festivity and fun.....

.....and yummy treats too.....

......and in the season of thankfulness, we are blessed with a building full of so many special friends.....all living in this tiny space in a great, big city which feels so small when you have so many loved ones to share city living with.....

......and as all big events go; the party flew by, although we extended the fun a bit since we weren't turning into pumpkins or mice at the strike of 7pm.....and just as all greatly anticipated occasions are enjoying and exciting to plan and partake, you take a deep breath when they're over.....satisfaction set in when I saw all the broad smiles on my first born before, during and after her special night.....watching Elsie and her friends laugh, share and celebrate together was worth the baking, the planning, the shopping, the glitter painting, the decorating, the cooking......knowing that this was the time of her life was a gift to all of us.....

.....oh, to be three....

....glad your night was spellbinding, little princess.....we had a lot to celebrate and we did it big and beautifully....

.....we love you....
