....a little bit of indoor play.....

.....just a quick post tonight, as we have good things in store over the next few days.....I need my rest, as we are anticipating adventure and late nights over a long weekend.....

.....and this week was no different than any other......we have been constantly challenged this winter to keep the creative indoor activities fresh and new.....so we were lured by our friends to try out bowling......we were promised it would be a thrilling new adventure......

.....and we were not let down in the least.....

....a few quick lessons on the game.....

......and then they were off on their own......exerting independence, elated with their success, energized with the newness of the game of bowling......

.....and when it became apparent that the harder you push the ball, the more pins are knocked over.....well, let's just say Elsie's fierce side revealed itself.....fierce and determined and competitive.....

.....but in the end, it was William who took the win....he is a natural......

......and in Callie's defense, she took a break midway to tell me that her teeth hurrrrrt.....poor baby is cutting some molars that are taking a little too long for all of us to show their pearly selves......

......and although I'm not a total germ phobe, I know well enough that a bowling alley is not the place to be when your little decides to stick all 10 fingers in the mouth for self soothing.....especially after touching bowling balls, used shoes, un-wiped booths and greasy buttons that reset the lanes......

......agh, the days of the building the immune system.....

.....they are so jolly.....they are so invigorating.....they are so carefree.....

.....and that is just the way I want these days to be for my girls....exciting, yet lazy, full of new experiences, blessed with friendship, wonder, learning, and abundant laughter.....

......savoring every minute.....
